Rostering students using IDs is an option that uses no personal information, which is helpful if privacy restrictions exist in the district. Students are given an ID and can log in and create an account using their Student ID and their teacher's Teacher ID.
Generating Student IDs
To begin, click into a class, then click the Add Students tab on the left margin. Select Use Student IDs. Four options exist:
Generate Students in Bulk - Specify the number of students and generate IDs. Once generated, names can be assigned to each ID.
Import Students from Spreadsheet - For a more streamlined experience tying names to student IDs, import a list of students with information such as custom Student ID, First Name, and/or Last Name. If custom Student IDs are not set, BusinessU will generate IDs for each student's name in the sheet.
Add Students Manually - Input student names manually, BusinessU will assign a Student ID for each name.
Add Existing Student with Student ID / Teacher ID - If a student already has login credentials from another BusinessU user, add them to your class with their Student ID and Teacher ID from their other teacher.

Once Student IDs have been assigned and shared with each student, students can log in to BusinessU by clicking "I have a Student ID" at the bottom of the login page. Type in the Teacher ID and Student ID. The Teacher ID can be found at the top of the Add Students pop-out window (see image below).
