The assignment-locking feature enables you to regulate student access, ensuring assignments are completed within the classroom setting. This is beneficial for maintaining instructional control and facilitating the unfinished work in your next class period.
FAQs
Question: If students don't finish a quiz during class, I can lock it until next class, and they will pick up right where they left off, correct?
Answer: Students must save their answers before the assignment is locked. If there's no time limit or due date, locking the quiz will pause their progress, and they can resume once it's unlocked.
Question: How do I shut off access to content so that students can't go back to access old unit assignments that were not completed?
Answer: You can lock content by selecting the 3 dots next to the assignment and pressing "Lock". This will lock students out of the assignment and prevent them from accessing the material.
Question: I have students working on a test, but they are not going to finish in time. What can I do to keep them from working on it at home?
Answer: You can have them save their work and then lock the assignment. You will do this by clicking on the 3 dots next to the test and pressing "lock". This will prevent them from accessing the materials outside your class.
Question: What do students see on their end when the assignment is locked?
Answer: Students will see the following message: "Your teacher has locked this content for viewing. If you would like to view this content or work on this assignment, please let your teacher know so they can unlock it."
